Dr. Nabil M. Lawandy

Dr. Nabil M. Lawandy serves as President, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Technology Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors for Solaris Nanosciences Corporation and Spectra Systems Corporation. From 1981 to 1999, Dr. Lawandy was a tenured full professor of Engineering and Physics at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Lawandy also served as the President and Chairman of the Board of SpectraDisc Corporation, a former subsidiary of Spectra Systems. Dr. Lawandy holds a B.A. in Physics from The Johns Hopkins University, an M.S. in Chemistry from The Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from The Johns Hopkins University. He has authored over 170 reviewed scientific papers and is an inventor on 40 issued patents. Dr. Lawandy has also received a Presidential Young Investigator award, an Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship, a Rolex Award for Enterprise and a Samuel Slater Award for Innovation.

Douglas A. Anderson

Mr. Anderson serves as Chief Financial Officer for Solaris Nanosciences Corporation and Spectra Systems Corporation. Prior to Solaris Nanosciences, Mr. Anderson was employed by Bluestreak Inc., a global marketing technology company where he served as President. Doug also held several financial positions including Director/Secretary of Bluestreak's wholly owned UK subsidiary, Bluestreak International Ltd. Prior to Bluestreak Doug was responsible for financial and accounting operations at Log On America, a publicly-traded telecom company. Doug also spent three years at Ernst & Young helping clients with financial strategy, accounting and compliance needs. Doug holds an MBA from Boston University and a BA from the University of Rhode Island.

Dr. Andrei Smuk

Dr. Smuk serves as Director, Research & Development for Solaris Nanosciences Corporation. Dr. Smuk received a Ph.D. in Physics from Brown University, Providence, RI (2000) and an M.S. degree in Applied Physics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (1994). Currently he is also a Director of Research and Development with Spectra Systems Corporation, Providence, RI. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2006, Dr. Smuk served as a Research Scientist for Spectra Systems Corp.
